Hi Family, Friends, and Beloved Black Boxers,
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen you, so we just wanted to let you know about some exciting burritos in our speedos and other serious summer news.
Welcome Darci Nalepa
We would like to extend a warm, loving embrace to Darci Nalepa, our newest Administrative member. Some of you may already know her as a teacher, and she will certainly still be teaching STUDIO and ACADEMY classes, but you’ll also be getting to know her over the next year as a resource for the teachers and as an advocate for you, as students. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact her at darci@blackboxacting.com and be sure to check her bio out at http://blackboxacting.com/black-box/team/darci-nalepa.
Black Box at The Den
Black Box Acting is wildly excited to announce that we will be The Den’s resident company. Audrey and Laura have been working extensively with Ryan Martin, the owner of The Den. He will be renovating the space to build three large, fully functioning black box theatres.
We hope that this new and improved space will provide each of you a great environment to create “edge of your seat theatre.” The renovations will be completed in August and the space will be ready to go for our Fall STUDIO and ACADEMY Revolution.
The STUDIO
Enrollment for The STUDIO will be opening soon. Keep an eye out. All the information you need to know about our Fall Session can be found at http://blackboxacting.com/classes/.
The ACADEMY
The revolution begins this Fall, when The 2012 ACADEMY students begin their training. It’s a full-time training affair for the ACADEMY students, so be sure to offer them a stiff martini if you see them recovering after class.
Here’s hoping the shorts are short and the days are long and hot.
Happy Summer,
The Black Box Team

Featuring ensemble members Gavin Robinson and Rudy Galvan
Geography of a Horse Dreamer is a twisted and menacing tale of abduction, exploitation and dark humor, as it weaves the story of a man with the ability to predict horse race winners via his dreams. When his talent begins to fade, his life hangs in the hands of his abductors who are exploiting his gift for their monetary gain.

Hi Everyone <3
Burningword published my poem THE CARNAL FLOWER in their literary journal today and I know you are all dying for a copy. The Good News, it’s $10 for a print version (I’ll totally sign it). The Better News, the digital version is free.
Plus, tomorrow is my birthday and wouldn’t that just be the best way to celebrate a writer on his lucky birthday?
Spread the word lovers.
